The Lion King is a true Disney classic, pleasing live audiences all around the world for years through this stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 film. Following the story of a young lion prince living in the flourishing African Pride Lands, The Lion King focuses on overcoming tragedy, starting anew, taking on new responsibilities, and how unlikely friendships can form and help along the way. With enchanting sets, costuming and choreography, students will feel as if they themselves are standing on Pride Rock!
Another beloved Disney classic, Aladdin takes place in the middle-eastern town of Agrabah and follows a charming street urchin and reformed thief named Aladdin. After meeting Princess Jasmine, who’s feeling the pressure from her Sultan father to find a royal groom, they form an instant connection. But when they’re discovered together, madness breaks loose. Students will love following Aladdin’s journey as he confronts Jafar (who’s plotting to take over the throne), fetches a lamp from the Cave of Wonders, meets a genie, and assumes a new identity to win the heart of the princess … along with his freedom.
