Educational Tours, Inc. has shared that Shelly Cole, CSTP has been promoted to General Manager of ETI. In her new role, effective immediately, Cole will oversee day-to-day business operations, establish and further implement existing objectives, develop growth strategies and more.
Prior to her promotion, Cole served as ETI’s Director of Vendor Partnerships as well as Trip Coordinator where she managed ETI’s relationships with group leaders and industry partners to ensure groups receive the quality service they expect. Cole will retain a variety of trip coordinator responsibilities, in addition to those of the general manager.
Cole, who joined ETI in 1997, finds that her past experience as a travel manager instilled in her a commitment to the importance of every minute detail during a trip.
“I’m thrilled to be expanding my role with ETI, a company I’ve called home for many years,” said Cole. “I’m proud of the work we do and am energized to continue to bring that same level of excellence to this new role. Every educator and student group we work with are unique, and satisfying their needs to create truly unforgettable memories and eye-opening experiences will always be a priority.”
Donna Adam, CSTP, President of ETI, is confident Cole can hit the ground running with her new role.
“In her time with ETI, Shelly has demonstrated she has the qualities necessary to be an effective and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about making the student travel experience a stellar one for educators and their groups,” said Adam, emphasizing the strength of the industry relationships Cole has built and continues to maintain. “I’m strong in my belief that she’ll bring just as much dedication and commitment to excellence in her role as general manager as she already has. I look forward to sharing in the managerial duties alongside her!”
