Every year, there are destinations that are increasingly catching the eye of student travelers—and for good reason!
These emerging destinations offer a chance for enhanced educational experiences, with looks at science, technology, the arts, performance opportunities and more. In this issue, we’re taking a look at our number one emerging destination—New Orleans. Have you been yet?
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA
A culturally rich city with a storied past and present, New Orleans is never a dull place to be! Students can not only get their history fix here, but also experience a level of fun like no other. Start in picturesque Jackson Square before perusing the Garden District and the French Quarter—the very same streets that see legendary Mardi Gras celebrations and Krewe parades every year.
Don’t forget to check out the plethora of museums in the Big Easy, too—whether viewing artifacts at the National WWII Museum or soaking up information at the Louisiana State Museum. Be sure to appreciate the natural beauty housed at the Audubon Zoo and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas before taking some swamp and plantation tours—an experience worth remembering.
No trip to New Orleans is complete without some Cajun cooking! Pull up a chair at Ralph & Kacoos, Mulates, and Court of Two Sisters—just to name a few.
Stay tuned for future enewsletter issues, where we’ll dive in even further to examine more of ETI’s top five emerging destinations including Memphis, Tennessee; Toronto, Ontario; Cleveland, Ohio; and Nashville, Tennessee.
Let us start planning your next trip today.
