HOLT, Mich., Monday, August 14, 2017 – Student group tour operator, Educational Tours, Inc. (ETI), has a new owner and president. Donna Adam officially took the helm on August 1, 2017.
“I’m thrilled to take the lead at a company I love with a team I admire,” said Adam. “The student travel industry is expanding and growing in importance and we’re proud to play a role in this vital part of the education of our future leaders.”
Adam joined ETI in 2005 and worked her way up to a leadership position as General Manager. She hopes to use her new position to help as many students as possible enjoy the unbelievable transformative power of travel and is excited to use her passion as a positive force for change in the industry.
Adam earned her Certified Student Travel Professional designation from the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA). She has been a board member of SYTA, among other industry involvement.
Educational Tours, Inc. is also pleased to announce that longtime student group travel expert, Darla Goudie, has joined the team as a Travel Consultant. Darla has 25 years of experience working in the tourism and hospitality fields. Most recently, she was the owner and founder of Group Hospitality, LLC, a company that assisted tour operators and suppliers in understanding and meeting the unique needs of the student group travel market.
“We’re thrilled that someone with Darla’s expertise and experience has joined our team. We expect that she will help us expand our educational travel offerings for our clientele,” said Adam.
ETI was founded in 1983 with the belief that travel is a vital part of education. Each year, its team of travel consultants, trip coordinators and trip accountants handle each stage of the trip planning process for thousands of students across the nation and abroad.
