There’s nothing quite like taking students to experience the places where history happened so they can see these notable sites right in front of their eyes. Thankfully, there are no shortage of destinations to consider if history is the main focus of your itinerary. Come along as we explore seven popular history destinations students absolutely love!

 

1. PHILADELPHIA

Known as the City of Brotherly Love, students are sure to find fun around every corner in Philadelphia, the second-largest city on the East Coast. It’s a destination that’s popular with student groups, and for good reason! It’s here that history comes to life and opportunities to visit top-notch art and science museums abound. So whether throwing up your fists for a photo next to the Rocky statue, gazing in awe at the Liberty Bell, or chowing down on an authentic cheesesteak—with Cheez Whiz, of course—Philadelphia is ready to welcome you.

3. HOUSTON & SAN ANTONIO

4. BOSTON

One of the oldest and most historic cities in North America, Boston is aptly known as the “Cradle of Liberty” and is world-renowned for its history and heritage. 5. NEW YORK CITY

6. CHICAGO

Its picturesque skyline isn’t the only reason Chicago is always a popular choice for student groups! The Windy City has some serious attractions groups won’t want to miss. The city boasts impressive world-class museums of art and science, miles of sandy beaches, huge parks, public art and perhaps the finest downtown collection of architecture in the world.

7. WASHINGTON, DC
