As you well understand by now, the student travel industry is among countless industries impacted by the pandemic. However, with the right knowledge and direction, it's still possible to offer life-changing experiences to your students!
With early planning, the ETI team can support you in creating a memorable experience, despite any obstacles you may face. Below are a few items to consider when beginning to plan your student trip:
Secure Busing 🚍
Pre-COVID, selecting a destination was typically the first step. However, securing a motorcoach to a destination you are considering is the No. 1 priority today. Much like school transportation, the motorcoach industry is experiencing a driver shortage, making it key to book as far in advance as possible. ETI is fortunate to have long-standing partnerships with motorcoach companies we trust and will leverage those relationships to secure the best transportation possible.
Access to Events and Attractions 🎟
Which attractions and venues are open and which ones aren't yet varies widely. Even destinations with fewer restrictions may still be experiencing reopening delays. Be patient and flexible, and encourage your students and parents to be, too. ETI can come up with alternatives and solutions, even if it's last-minute. Sometimes the most memorable experiences are those that are less planned and sit just under the radar.
Consider Costs 💵
Hotels, transportation and food costs are on the rise. Keeping this in mind, remain realistic when considering what your students can afford. We've been hosting a larger number of trips to more affordable destinations for our clients. These "hidden gems" can provide equally rewarding experiences for your students.
By planning further in advance, being flexible and having an open mind, your experience will be far more positive and rewarding. As always, we're here to help you start or continue the conversation. Let's connect today!
